Five Brabant men arrested for sexual exploitation of women

The police arrested five men on Tuesday who are suspected of sexually exploiting several women for an extended period, according to the police.

The arrests may be related to the use of the designer drug flakka. Vulnerable women are made dependent on flakka, or already are, the police write. They are then forced to perform sexual acts.

The police received signals that there was a case of human trafficking and that several women were being sexually exploited in this way.

In the Zeeland-West-Brabant region, it was already known that the police are very busy with flakka users. This stimulant can make people aggressive, confused and unpredictable.

The men are from Roosendaal and Bergen op Zoom and are between thirty and sixty years old. They are still in custody. Several women have also been found who are suspected of being victims of human trafficking.
