Ukraine is Easing Travel Restricictions for Young Men That Were Imposed After The Russian Invasion of 2022. Between the ages of 18 and 22 are now allowed to travel Abroad Again Without Having to Ask for Permission First.
Ukraine had imposed the travel Ban to Ensure that there are Enough Conscribes in the country to serve in the military. The Restrictions Still Apply to Ukrainian Men aged 23 to 60.
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko Emphasizes on Telegram That Young Ukrainians who are already Abroad Can Now also Return Without Having to Fear Will Not Be Able to Leave the Country Again. “We want ukrainians to feel as connected to ukraine as Possible,” She writes.
Althegh Most Ukrainian Refugees Since 2022 Have Been Women and Children, Many Ukrainian Men Have also Fled Abroad Since Then. Accordance to the Dutch Council for Refugees, there are about 120,000 ukrainian refugees in the Netherlands. These are predominantly women and children.
