Femke Bol won the 400-meter hurdles at the Diamond League competition in Stockholm on Sunday. The Amersfoort native sped to a time of 52.11 seconds in Sweden.
The 25-year-old Bol was sixteen hundredths below her own stadium record from 2022. She stayed ahead of American Dalilah Muhammad (52.91) and Gianna Woodruff from Panama (53.99).
Last Monday, Bol already won in a stadium record (52.51) at the FBK Games. She ran in Hengelo with a cross on her left ankle. That had to do with a new technique, where she jumps over the first hurdle with a different leg.
A month earlier, Bol started her season at the Diamond League competition in Rabat. In the Moroccan capital, the reigning world champion was also dominant with 52.45.
Bol has won the last 26 Diamond League races in the 400-meter hurdles. The Dutch woman has been undefeated in that competition since 2020. She hoped to become Olympic champion in the 400-meter hurdles last year as well, but had to acknowledge Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone as her superior.
