Virginia Huynh, an ex-girlfriend of Diddy, has requested the court in a letter to release the rapper on bail. This is stated in court documents obtained by Us Weekly. Huynh had an on-again, off-again relationship with Diddy from 2014 to 2019.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was convicted in June of transporting two ex-girlfriends for the purpose of prostitution. In addition, the 55-year-old rapper was acquitted of more serious charges, such as extortion, conspiracy, and human trafficking.
Another ex-girlfriend of Diddy has now written a letter to the court to express her support for the artist. Although she is one of the victims in the case, she never showed up in court. “I am writing this letter because I do not consider Diddy a danger to me or society,” the letter states.
According to the 33-year-old Huynh, the relationship she had with Diddy was “far from perfect”. “We had ups and downs, and mistakes were made. But Diddy was always willing to acknowledge his mistakes in order to make better decisions in the future,” she explains.
In the last years of the relationship, Diddy would have made “visible efforts” to become a better person. “As far as I know, he has not been violent for years and has considered fatherhood as his first priority,” the letter states.
Bail of 50 million dollars
Diddy’s lawyers asked the judge last week whether the rapper may await his conviction in freedom. The lawyers have proposed a bail of 50 million dollars (more than 43 million euros).
Diddy has always maintained that he is not guilty, not even of the things for which he has been convicted. According to the musician, his girlfriends voluntarily participated in the sexual activities.
The rapper will hear his sentence on October 3.
