Eurostar adds fifth daily train between London and Amsterdam

Eurostar will run five times a day between London and Amsterdam starting in December. Since the new Eurostar terminal opened at Amsterdam Central Station earlier this year, more trains can run on the popular route.

Currently, Eurostar runs four times a day between London and Amsterdam. The extra train will start running in December. With five round trips per day, more than three thousand passengers can travel to and from London daily.

The extra journeys mean more flexibility and comfort, Eurostar reports in a press release. “We want to offer a sustainable alternative to flying between the United Kingdom and the Netherlands,” says Eurostar CEO Gwendoline Cazenave.

Due to the construction of the new terminal at Amsterdam Central Station, there were no direct trains between Amsterdam and London for a long time. Travelers had to change trains in Brussels for passport control between June 2024 and February of this year. That meant at least an extra half hour of travel time.
