A seven-year-old girl from The Hague died in a car accident in France on Saturday. Two family members who were in the car were seriously injured.
This was confirmed by a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs following reports from the AD.
According to the French newspaper La République du Centre, the accident happened at 7:15 AM on the A10 near Le Bardon in central France. It was a single-vehicle accident, in which the driver lost control while overtaking.
The mother is one of the two seriously injured, the newspaper reports. She was in the car with her seven-year-old daughter and two of her sons. One of the sons was presumably behind the wheel. According to the public prosecutor, he was not under the influence.
