Duncan Laurence found happiness and inspiration for music after therapy

Duncan Laurence has changed his life and feels much better now that he is in therapy. The singer has found happiness and new inspiration as a result, he says on Instagram.

“I may remain a work in progress, but at least I’m moving forward,” the 31-year-old artist writes. “A year ago, I realized that happiness was not something I had to look for outside of myself. I had to start from within.”

Laurence therefore started with weekly therapy and keeping a journal. “I moved more, I ate better, I gave myself permission to rest, to pause and just exist.” According to the former Eurovision winner, things slowly but surely got a little better after that.

“I found inspiration again, happiness. A new kind of energy in everything I do. A lot of that is in the music I’m working on. Not just the sad pieces, but also the recovery. The honesty in the middle of it,” Laurence writes with a series of photos. “Some of you said I seemed more cheerful lately. Happier. I feel that myself too.”
