Karen Damen, Kristel Verbeke and Kathleen Aerts are extending their tour. After great success, the original K3 trio will give two extra shows in the AFAS Dome in Antwerp on May 31, 2026.
These will be a matinee and an evening show, K3 Originals announced on Wednesday. The two shows will conclude a series of reunion concerts. Initially, the last performance was planned for May 30.
Damen, Verbeke and Aerts started the shows last week. They will perform every day until October 12. Later this month, they will go to Belgium for a series of performances. In April, the trio will come to the Netherlands and a month later they will be in Belgium for the final shows.
The shows of the original K3 trio are extremely popular. Tickets were sold in a very short time. For many fans, it’s childhood nostalgia.
K3 was formed in 1998, initially without hit success. In 1999, the trio tried to represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Heyah Mama , but didn’t get far. Still, it became the girl group’s first hit.
Audience now consists of people in their twenties and thirties
After that, there was no stopping them. The trio scored hits with songs like All Colors , Tele-Romeo , Kuma He! , MaMaSé! and Kiss Day . The group’s fans were mainly children at the time, but those children are now the people in their twenties and thirties who will fill the AFAS Dome and Ahoy.
The original line-up of K3 ceased to exist in 2009 when Aerts left the group. Damen and Verbeke formed the group until 2015 with Josje Huisman, who will not perform at the concerts. In 2015, a completely new line-up was chosen.
