Drummer Bram van den Berg is playing again this weekend with Krezip on Pinkpop, but says goodbye at the end of the year. The band reports this on Instagram on Thursday. Since 2023, Van den Berg has been a substitute rummer at U2.
After Pinkpop, the 42-year-old drummer also plays at the Krezip show in the Amsterdam Ziggo Dome on December 6.
“It takes a while for us, and probably for you,” writes the band. “But we are really looking forward to being able to play these special shows with him and to be able to say goodbye to him in a nice way as our drummer. Bram can’t wait to see you all again and celebrate all those beautiful years together.”
Van den Berg Verstigte U2 from September 2023 to March 2024 at a concert series in Las Vegas. He replaced Larry Mullen Jr., who was temporarily unable to play because he recovered from surgery. The drummer received his ranking job by DJ Martin Garrix, who introduced the drummer and the Irish band.
