Dreamliner from Air India must turn around due to a possible technical problem

Air India Boeing Dreamliner

A Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner turned around during a flight from Hong Kong to Delhi on Monday morning and flew back to the airport of departure. This was because the pilot suspected a technical malfunction.

The Hong Kong airport authority has since announced that the aircraft landed safely and requested assistance.

The incident comes a few days after another Air India aircraft of the same type crashed, killing 241 occupants. Only one occupant survived the disaster. The aircraft crashed into a hostel of a nearby school, killing another 29 people.

Also on Sunday evening, an aircraft of the Indian airline had to return to the airport of departure because the landing gear was not functioning properly. In this case, it was not a Boeing, but an Airbus.

And if that wasn’t enough, another Air India aircraft had to make an emergency landing on Friday. This was not due to a technical problem, but a bomb threat. The aircraft landed safely.
