Elf onafgemaakte scripts van David Lynch zijn in Los Angeles geveild voor 195.000 dollar. Het gaat om materiaal van zijn nooit voltooide film Ronnie Rocket: The Absurd Mystery of the Strange Forces of Existence.
Bij de veiling werden zo’n 450 persoonlijke bezittingen van de regisseur aangeboden, meldt entertainmentsite Deadline. Het publiek kon zowel online als ter plekke bieden op onder meer kunstwerken, meubels en rekwisieten uit bekende Lynch-producties als Mulholland Drive, Twin Peaks en Eraserhead.
De veiling bracht omgerekend zo’n 3,68 miljoen euro op.
Eleven unfinished scripts by David Lynch have been auctioned in Los Angeles for $195,000. It concerns material from his never-completed film Ronnie Rocket: The Absurd Mystery of the Strange Forces of Existence.
At the auction, approximately 450 personal belongings of the director were offered, reports entertainment site Deadline. The public could bid both online and on-site on, among other things, artworks, furniture and props from well-known Lynch productions such as Mulholland Drive, Twin Peaks and Eraserhead.
The auction raised the equivalent of approximately 3.68 million euros.
