Charlie Sheen releases memoirs in September

Charlie Sheen is releasing his memoirs soon. The Book of Sheen will be published in September, reports Gallery Books.

The 59-year-old actor wrote the book himself. He reflects on his childhood on film sets, where he was often found with his father Martin Sheen, who is also an actor. He also talks about his teenage years, during which he made films with childhood friend Sean Penn. In addition, the actor writes about his dealings with “the chaos of divorces and drugs”.

Sheen broke through as an actor in the 1980s and starred in films such as Platoon and Wall Street. He also had leading roles for years in the television series Spin City, Two and a Half Men and Anger Management.

In 2011, things went downhill for Sheen when he was fired from Two and a Half Men after misbehaving due to frequent alcohol and drug use. Around the same time, he was diagnosed with HIV.
