Car in Hengelo drives in at home because father (11) leaves behind the wheel

A car crashed into a house in Hengelo on Saturday. A man left his eleven-year-old daughter behind the wheel. No one was injured.

The girl was behind the wheel, with her father in the passenger seat. Her mother and a baby were in the back seat, according to Tubantia.

The newspaper writes that the girl was allowed to drive by her father after she asked to. When she had to brake before a turn, she accidentally fully pressed the accelerator pedal. As a result, she rammed a house on the Albert Verweijstraat, near her own house.

No one was injured, but the house did suffer significant damage. It is uncertain whether the residents can sleep in their home tonight, according to Tubantia.

The police do not want to confirm the incident because no one was injured.
