Car dealers sold more than a million second -hand cars this year

Car Dealers Sold Over A Million Used Cars In The First Nine Months Of This Year. That is 2.9 percent more than a year earlier, reports bovag. People traded over Half A Million Used Cars Among Themselves, An Increase of 6.7 percent.

Sales of Used Cars Increased in the Third Quarter of This Year, Reports Industry Association BOVAG. In July, August and September, Dealers Sold 337,565 Used Cars, which is 3.5 percent more than in the third quarter of 2024. For People Among Themselves, This Number Increased by 5.3 percent to 181.148 Used Cars.

This brings the total number of sales by dealers this year to 1,043,770 used cars and by individuals to 555,281 used cars. The Share of Full Electric Cars in That Total is Slightly Higher at 4.4 percent than in the Second Quarter. The Share of Hybrids Rose from 12.3 to 15.5 percent.

The Share of Gasoline Cars in Used Car Sales Fell from Almost 76 percent to Just about 73 percent. The Share of Diesel Used Cars Fell From 6.9 to 5.7 percent. The Figures can be Seen in the Table Below.
