A bus driver in the Frisian Feanwâlden was arrested on Friday morning because he was behind the wheel under the influence of drugs. After a collision with a car, the man tested positively during a drug test.
Around 11 am a bus and a car collided. The motorist was injured and had to be transferred to the hospital.
“After the collision, a suspicion of drug use was established by the bus driver, after which he was arrested,” a police spokesperson tells NU.nl.
The spokesperson cannot yet say whether the bus driver caused the accident. “There is currently an investigation.”
It is not yet clear whether there were passengers on the bus during the collision. Nothing is known about the age and identity of the bus driver.
