Bitcoin breaks record again and is now also going through a border of 100,000 euros

The bitcoin price has reached another record high. On Friday morning, the value of the world’s most traded cryptocurrency rose to over $118,000 (approximately €100,970).

Bitcoin reached a record high on Wednesday. The currency was briefly worth over $112,000 (€95,431) around 10:00 PM that day.

Since the election of Donald Trump as the 47th president of the United States, interest in bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies has increased sharply. This was because Trump said during his campaign that he wanted to ease the rules and supervision of digital currencies.

On the day Trump became president, bitcoin reached a value of more than $109,000. But due to Trump’s trade conflicts, the currency then fell sharply again.

When Trump decided to temporarily suspend a number of import duties a few months ago, the currency rose again. On May 22, the value of bitcoin had already risen to $111,980. It then took more than a month before that record could be broken.
