André Hazes must take mandatory rest for a few weeks due to a “slight injury” to his vocal cords. The 31-year-old singer has therefore had to cancel several performances, he reports on Instagram.
“Dear people, unfortunately I have to announce that on the advice of my doctor I have to take a few weeks of (stage) rest,” Hazes writes. “I have a slight injury to my vocal cords and that could already be heard and felt in the last performances.”
“I’m not sick or in pain, only my singing voice is affected,” the singer explains. “That really needs to recover. I’ll see you again soon and thank you for your understanding.”
It is not clear when Hazes will perform again.
