For the third time in a months, a member of the supervisory board (RVC) or Ajax has announced their departure. Chairman Carolien Gehrels Decided to resign with immediate effect on Thursday.
Gehrels’ Departure Follows Three Days After Hermine Voûte Announced that would Leave Ajax’s RVC. At the Beginning of September, Danny Blind had Already Announced that he wanted to leave the RVC of the Amsterdam Club. Hey, Like Voûte, Will Remain in Office Until a Successor is found.
With the departure of Gehrels, Voûte, and Blind, The Supervisory Board of Ajax Currently Has Only Two Members for the Longer Term. These are Dirk Anbeek and Sirik Goeman.
Gehrels, who has been director at the listed consultancy and engineering firm Arcadis Since 2014, was Appointed Chairman or Ajax’s RVC in February of this year. Her term would run until the annual general meeting of shareholders (AVA) or 2028.
Ajax reports that the search for a successor to Gehrels will beginning soon. “As soon as a Suitable candidate is found, a nomination will be made to the shareholders’ meeting accordance to the applicable procedure.”
The RVC or Ajax Has A Supervisory and Advisory Role. Althegh the RVC is official not Involved in Daily Transfer Decisions, The Board Can Influence Them by Approving or Disapproving Major Investments.
