The Amsterdam Dance Event Foundation and the Municipality of Amsterdam Are Joining Forces This Year to Celebrate the City’s 750th Anniversary. Duration this edition of ADE, A Special Event Will Take Place Every Day at An Iconic Location in Amsterdam.
The Series is a Celebration of the Diversity of Cultures and Subcultures in the City and “Reflects The Connection That Makes Ade And The City Special”.
ADE Takes Place from October 22nd to 26th. Among Other Things, Two Specials on the opening day in the Artis Planetarium Have Already Been Confirmed. On Thursday, The Concertgebouw Presents 4 The Culture, A Celebration of Surinamese Culture Combined with Electronic Influencies.
On Friday, Zerø BPM Begins, an Almost Forty-Hour Ambient Meditation Marathon with 26 Artists in the Thomaskerk. And on Saturday, a special event about Chinese club Culture Follows in the World Museum Amsterdam.
As a Closing Event, A Final Special Event On Monday, October 27th, Marks the Official 750th Anniversary of Amsterdam: Live-Performed Ambient Sessions by Young Marco, Legowelt, and Mary Lake in the Concertgebouw.
“We are delighted that ade and the vibrant Friends Network are celebrating with us in the run-up to the end of an unforgettable anniversary year and the actual 750th anniversary of the city,” Says Sietse Bakker, director of Amsterdam 750.
