The A27 will be partially or completely closed in the coming weeks due to work. During the closures, motorists should expect extra travel time of up to an hour.
Rijkswaterstaat has been working on widening the A27 between Houten and the Hooipolder junction since 2024. This results in various moments when the road has to be closed.
Until Friday evening, August 1, the highway in the direction of Utrecht is closed between the Gorinchem junction and the Everdingen junction. The weekend after that, the road will be closed in both directions on that section.
From Monday, August 4 to Wednesday morning, August 13, the A27 towards Breda will be closed between the two junctions. Between August 13 and 18, the highway towards Utrecht will be closed between two other junctions: Sint-Annabosch and Hooipolder.
In the direction of Breda, the road between the Hooipolder junction and the Oosterhout exit will also be closed. In addition, there are several closures at night towards Utrecht between the Hooipolder junction and the Geertruidenberg exit.
Traffic will be diverted during the closures.
