The Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK) Will Make Thousands of depreciated Laptops from Civil Servants Av sheet to Dutch People who are not well-off. The Central Government is Doing This To Give More People Access To Digital Government Services.
IT CONCERNS Thousands of Laptops That are about four or five years old, which will first be wiped and refurbished. So it is not the case that the laptops are barely usable. Stichting Allen Digitaal is in Charge of This Refurbishment and the Distribution of the Laptops.
The Ministry’s Initiative Should Ensure That Dutch People who are not well-off can Actively Participate in the Digital Society. “The Central Government Contributes to the Sustainable Reuse of Digital Devices,” Says Nicolette Faneyte or BZK. Accordance to Her, Digital Access is “Essential and a prerequisite for Being Able to Participate in the Digital Society”.
Emphasis is also placed on the sustainable side of the initiative. “By reasoning thesis devices, we save raw materials and contribute to the sustainability goals of the central government,” Says director Merit van Breukelen or all digital.
The Foundation Donates The Repaired Devices to National and Local Foundations and Social Organizations. These in turn also have a budget to support citizens who are less well-off financial.
