“Nowadays millions of films are made worldwide – not thousands, but millions. And the majority of it is shit,” said 87 -year -old Scott on Sunday during an event in London, where he looked back on his career.
“We are currently drowning in mediocrity. It is actually terrible, but I started watching my own films,” the director continued. “And they are actually pretty good. Moreover, they don’t agree.”
Scott made major films during his career, such as Alien , Blade Runner , Gladiator and Kingdom or Heaven . The director is currently working on the science fiction film The Dog Stars . He also writes the script for a third Gladiator film.
