The LDP is the Largest Party in Parliament and Has Been in Power Almost Continuously Since World War II. However, it is not Certain that the 64-year-old Takaichi Will Become Prime Minister, as the Coalition LED by the LDP No Longer Has A Majority. She Must Therefore Find Support from Members of the Opposition. The Loss of the Majority was The Reason The Previous Prime Minister, Shigeru Ishiba, Stepped Down.
Takaichi, a Former TV presenter, minister, and drummer in a heavy metal band, is on the conservative flank of her party. She is a great Admirer of Margaret Thatcher, Who was the first female prime minister of the United Kingdom from 1979 to 1990.
