Black and white checkered flags! Verstappen sets the fastest time in the third free practice. Piastri, Russell and Antonelli follow shortly after that. It seems to be an exciting qualification!
Still 9 minutes – Verstappen sets a very strong time on the softs with 1.30.148. He is therefore one and a half tenth faster than Norris.
Still 12 minutes – Leclerc sets the fastest time on the softs for now. (1,30,651). This is probably not enough for the Ferrari driver to keep the fastest time in his hands.
Another 16 minutes – almost all drivers are in the pits to change tires. They will simulate the qualification with this.
Another 21 minutes – almost all drivers are back on the medium and drive on the circuit. The Long Runs were used by the drivers.
Verstappen went out very late, but was immediately strong on the mediums.
Another 29 minutes – Verstappen sets the fourth time in his first attempt. He does that on the mediums.
Another 31 min – it remains chaotic, because Sainz is leaving the track. Fortunately, he can return after the braking point.
Still 32 minutes – Together with Russell, Verstappen has not yet set time. He will also come onto the job.
Green flags! The drivers can go on track again. It will be very busy, because everyone wants to use the time.
Lawson before he crashed during the third free practice.
Another 42 minutes – this will take a while. Lawson goes very fast into the wall. Yesterday he went off. In the meantime, time is ticking and teams have less time to prepare for qualifying.
Red flags! Lawson is going fast and so the session is stopped.
The Singapore skyline is nice to see from the circuit.
Another 49 minutes – it’s on the softs, but Sainz sets the fastest time so far in the Williams. He will continue his good weekend on Saturday.
Another 52 minutes – the Williams are the first to go to the softs. In the meantime, the McLarens set the fastest times on the street circuit.
Another 55 minutes – the drivers that are outside are on the mediums. Verstappen is still in the pits.
Green flags! The third and final free practice is on the way. The training will be dominated by the Long Runs.
