In Serbia, Bomb Threats Were Made at 807 Schools on Thursday, The Ministry of Internal Affairs Told State Broadcaster RTS. The Reports Were Received at Primary and Secondary Schools Throughhout the Country.
Police Inspected Several Schools and the Reports Appear to Be False So Far. Bomb Threats Were Made in the Capital Belgrade and in the Cities of Nis, Novi Pazar and Kraljevo, Among Others, RTS Writes.
In Novi Pazar, Bomb Threats Were Made at Least Two Large Primary Schools with Fifteen Hungred and Two Thousand Students Respectively. In Many Places, The Local Police Received Assistance from Specialized Units to Investigate the Reports.
The reports came in by e-mail around 9:30 am, after which many schools stopped classes. The Ministry Says the False Reports are intended to disrupt Education and calls for the perpetrators to be “tracked down and punished”.
