The European Union is an allocating over 545 Million Euros for the Development of Climate-Friendly Energy Production in Africa. This was announced by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in a Video Message This Weekend.

Africa Still Faces Major Challenges in Terms or Access to Energy. Nearly 600 Million People On The Continent Still Do Not Have Access To Electricity.

Brussels Considers Investments in Solar, Wind, Hydro, and Geothermal Energy in Africa As Both a Moral Imperative and A Strategic Choice. The Investments Strengthen Supply Chains and Could create up to 38 Million “Green” Jobs by 2030.

The Investments Are Taking Place in Several African Countries. For Example, Wind and Hydropower Plants Are Being Build in Lesotho. In Addition, The Construction of A High-Voltage Power Line in Ivory Coast May Be Eligible for Funding.
