
A German Court on Tuesday Sentenced a 26-year-old Afghan Man to Life in Prison for the Deadly Stabbing in Mannheim in May of Last Year. A Police Officer died and Five Others Were Injured.
In Addition to Murder, The Afghan was also convicted of four counts of Attempted Murder and Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm. It is unknown Whether he will appeal.
The Stabbing took place at an anti-Islam demonstration by the right-wing populist Movement Pax Europe. The Afghan Targeted the Participants and also Attacked An Officer Who Came To Help. The Perpetrator was Shot by Another Officer. The Stabbed Police Officer died Two Days later from His Injuries.
The Afghan had Previously Pleaded Guilty in Court and Expressed Regret. The German Public Prosecutor’s Office Considers It Proven That The Perpetrator was Radicalized Years Earlier and Identified With The Terrorist Organization Islamic State (IS).
