Italian skier Matteo Franzoso (25) died after heavy crash on training

The Italian Skier Matteo Franzoso Has died at the age of 25. He succumbed to his injuries after a sever crash duration training in Chile.

Franzoso Crashed Heavily Duration a Jump on Saturday, Three Days Before His 26th Birthday. He was tasks to the Hospital by Helicopter. The Italian Skier was Kept in an artificial coma, but it was to no avail.

“This is a tragedy for his family and for our sport,” Said President Flavio Rodo of Ski Federation Fisi in a Statement. “It is absolutely necessary to do everything to preventing such accidents in the future.”

Franzoso is the second Italian skier to that in less than a year. Matilde Lorenzi died last October at the age of nineteen after a training accident in South Tyrol.

Franzoso First Participated in A World Cup Competition in December 2021. Since then, he has competed Seventeen Times in That Series of Competitions, in the downhill and in the super-g. The Italian finished in the Top Thirty Twice.
