End of NS strikes: trade unions agree with new collective labor agreement

The Members of Trade Unions FNV and VVMC Have Agreed to the New Collective Labor Agreement (CAO) With NS (Dutch Railways). With This, Peace Seems to Have Returned To The Railway: New Strikes Are Now Definitely Off The Table.

Trade Union FNV Announced on Monday that no less than 89 percent of its Members Support the Agreements Made. Later in The Day, VVMC also followed with a green light. That was the last trade union that had to agree to the collective labor agreement.

“We are proud of this result and the broad support Among Our Members,” Says FNV director Henri Janssen. “It is now up to ns to quickly implement it.”

The Negotiations Between the Trade Unions and NS Were Difficult. This led to strikes earlier this year. For Example, Train Traffic was completely stopped for four days at the beginning of June. This had Major Consequences for Travelers, Who Could Not Travel by Train for Four Days and Suffered Delays and Cancellations in the Days Around It.

The New Collective Labor Fixed Stipulates That Wages Will Increase Gradually and Retroactively from March 1. In Addition, There Will Be Heavy Work Scheme: NS Employees Who Have Done Physical Demanding Work Condition, STOPER CERTY CERTERS
