Suspect of serious abuse arrested after unrest in North Holland municipalities

The Police arrested Someone on Sunday Evening on Suspicion of Serious Assault and Robbery in the Conflict Between Youth Groups in Heemskerk, Beverwijk, and Haarlem. The Police Are Not Making Any Statements about the Age and Place of Residence of the Suspect, because the Investigation is Still Onoing.

Earlier, The Police had already arrested a twenty-year-old man for incitement and also Two Young People for Illegal Possession of Weapons. The twenty-year-old suspect from Heemskerk is still in Custody and Will Be Brought Before a Judge on Monday.

The Mayor of Beverwijk Announced on Sunday that “Several Investigations Into Criminal Offenses” Are Underway As A Result of the Unrest. He did not rule out further judgments.

The Unrest Appears to Be the Result of a Dispute Between Youth Groups After An Assault in Early September. Images of heavy violence and fake images of bombs Being thrown at schools are circulating on social media.

As a result of the unrest on the streets, several secondary schools in Beverwijk, Heemskerk, and Haarlem Remained closed on Friday. They will ronday on Monday. Community Police Officers Will Visit The Schools Where There Was Unrest.

Accordance to the Police, there is no unsafe situation in The North Holland Municipalities. An Emergency Order was in effect in Beverwijk and Heemskerk, Allowing the Police to Conduct Preventive Searches. Certain Districts in Beverwijk and Heemskerk Have Been Designated As Security Risk Areas Until October 9 to Combat Possible Weapon Possession and Weapon Misuse.
