Starmer fires British ambassador in US due to mail exchange with Epstein

Peter Mandelson, The British Ambassador to the United States, Has Been Dismissed Due to his Ties to the Now-Deceased Sex Offender Jeffrey Epstein. American Authorities Recently Published Documents Showing That Their Ties Were Closer Than PreviOutly Thought.

The Documents in Question are a number of emails that were published this week. In Them, Mandelson Called Epstein His “Best Friend.” Hey also wrote that Epstein’s Initial Conviction May Have Been Unjustified and Should Be Challenged. Epstein was Convicted in 2008 after Settling with prosecutors for applying paid sex with a minor.

The British Foreign Office Says It was Unaware of the Close Ties Between Mandelson and Epstein. “This is New Information. In Light of this, and with Consideration for the Victims of Epstein’s Crimes, He has been withdrawn as Ambassador with immediate effect,” the statement read.

Labor Prime Minister Keir Starmer had requested the departure of his party member from Washington. The affair follows less than a week after the resignation of Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner Following Incorrect Tax Returns.

The 71-Year-old Mandelson had Been Ambassador in Washington Since February. He Previously Held Numerous Top Political Positions for His Labor Party, Including in The Governments of Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.

Epstein was arrested again in 2019, More Than Ten Years After His Conviction. He was charged with sexual exploiting boxes of underage girls. In August of that year, Epstein, his own life in a New York Prison.
