NVWA warns of frame breaches of two types of Vogue-Bak bikes

The frames of the electric cargo bikes Vogue Superior 3 and Vogue Superior Deluxe may break, causing accidents. The Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) recommends driving on the e-baking bikes until the frame is reinforced at the manufacturer.

Since Wednesday, an NVWA safety warning applies to the two electric cargo bikes. Vogue apologizes on the sales site and offers free reinforcements for the frames. You can register online and “within a few weeks” an appointment is made for the adjustment.

Frame breaches are more common in Vogue cargo bikes. For example, the Vogue Troy and Journey were previously recalled due to the same problem.

Last year, the NVWA forbade the sale of all Vogue-Bak bikes due to the safety problems. The same applied to Babboe’s E-Bakfiet models.
