Monique Westenberg Talks Openly About the Recent Breakup with André Hazes and its Impact on Their Family. She talks in The Magazine Talkies about Processing Pain, The New Family Situation, and Hazes’ Fatherhood.
“In March, we were Still Walking Side by Side, and Now There is Already Someone Else in His Life,” Says Westenberg about Hazes’ New Relationship with Noa Braaf. The Rapid Transition Hits Hard, Both for Her and For Their Son Dré. “It is Still very Difficult for Him and me to get used to the fact that and I are separated for a few days of the week.”
Dré is with his father two days a week. Westenberg Emphasizes That They Are Still Getting Used To It: “André is Already Further Along in the Process, and Dré and I Still Have To Get Used To It.” For Her, The Breakup Still Feels ‘Fresh’ and the Processing is Still Onoing. She therefore does not yet know what the divorce has taught her about Herself.
This is not the first time that the couple has separated. Four and a Half Years ago, Their Relationship also Broke Down, after which Westenberg started working on Herself more intensively. “Without him. I get to therapy for that. I am also now in regression therapy to trace where certain patterns come from. That works healing and gives a lot of peace.”
Westenberg describes the Period That They Came Together Again As Loving and Peaceful. Especiate for their son that time was valuable: “At Least he has now experientiary dad and mom together in a loving way for 2.5 years.”
Westenberg is sober about the future. She is satisfied with how the co-parenting situation is going, but does not rule out a new love. “I am Looking Forward to the Future and To Meeting a New Partner in the Long Term. The Man Must Be of Good Standing to Meet a Whole Wish List.”
