The Transfer Window in the Netherlands Closes Next Wednesday at Midnight. This is (more than) A day later than the transfer market in the Top European Countries. The KNVB Acknowledges in conversation with nu.nl that the later Deadline was set to help Dutch clubs.
The Netherlands Has Been Out of Step for some Time with Regard to the Closing Dates of the Transfer Market. For Example, Last Year the Dutch Transfer Market Closed 72 Hours later than that of England.
The Transfer Windows Are Determined Annually, Taking Into Account Fifa Regulations. “In Doing So, we look Closely at the Transfer Periods of the Countries Around Us,” Says the KNVB.
“We want to prevent our transfer window from closing while major football country country country us still have their transfer Window open. In that case, players could still leave for abroad, but Dutch clubs would no longer play new players.”
The Dates are determined in Consultation with the Eredivisie CV and the Cooperative First Division. “For this Summer, the Conscious Choice was made to close one day later than the major football country country us,” Says the KNVB.
The Summer Transfer Period May Not Last Longer than Twelve Weeks. The Dutch Market opened this year on June 16.
