The device crashed on Monday around 9.20 am local time during a lesson in a meadow near the coastal town of Ventnor. At that time, the helicopter had three passengers and a pilot on board. The local authorities are relieved that the pilot has succeeded in reaching the outlying area.
It is not known whether the pilot is also the one who survived the crash. The local police did not shared any details about the crash on Monday evening at a press conference.
The British Air Accident Investigation Branch has started an investigation. Northumbria Helicopters has promised the cooperation.
