Confusion in Germany: Visma talent Brennan wins after minutes of jury consultation

The Finish of the First Stage of the Tour of Germany caused confusion on Thursday. Initially, it appeared that Jonathan Milan had won, but after waiting for minutes for a finish photo, Matthew Brennan was awarded the Victory.

Brennan and Milan Crossed the Finish Line Almost SimultaneUously in the Mass Sprint. It was not immedialy clear who had crossed the line first in Herford, Germany.

The jury needed more than for the minute to determine the winner. Ultimately, Brennan proved to be the strongest. The top talent from Visma-lease a bike passed Milan in the final meters and stayed a tire width ahead of the Italian.

It was the Tenth Victory of the Season for Brennan. The Twenty-Year-old Brit Previously won, Among Other Things, The Tour of Norway and Stages in the Tour of Catalonia, The Tour of Romandie, and the Tour of Poland.

Danny van Poppel finished at a Suitable distance from Brennan and Milan in Third Place. The Dutchman Takes the Lead in the General Classification thanks to Bonus Seconds over Søren Waerenskjold.

Van Poppel Has The Same Time As Samuel Watson and Brennan But Takes The Lead Thanks to Better Classifications. The Sprinter from Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe Finished Sixth in the Prologue on Wednesday. The Tour of Germany Lasts Until Sunday.
