SZA has been appointed as artistic director of Vans. The American singer will design collections “in which her unique vision and the creative and young spirit of Vans influence each other,” reports the clothing and shoe brand.
The 35-year-old SZA also announced the news on Instagram. “As an artistic director, it is my mission to show that joy, community, creativity and fashion are still intertwined,” she writes in the announcement.
The Grammy winner has signed for a multi-year collaboration. Her first campaign for Vans focuses on one of her favorite Vans shoes: the KNU Skool in Black and White.
SZA is known for songs such as All The Stars , Snooze , Kill Bill and The Weekend . In recent months she toured with rapper Kendrick Lamar. Together they performed in July in the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam.
