Lindsay Lohan suffers from PTSD by growing up in the spotlight

Lindsay Lohan still experiences a lot of trouble from the time she was chased by photographers when she broke through. The 39-year-old actress has been left with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

“I don’t want my family to ever have to experience what it’s like to be chased by photographers,” Lohan says in an interview with The Sunday Times. “They were the scariest moments of my life. As a result, I now suffer a lot from PTSD.”

The Freakier Friday actress is happy that stars can now tell their own story thanks to social media. “I think it’s beautiful that people can now share who they are and who they want to be,” she says. “In this way, they maintain control over their own lives.”

Lohan and her husband Bader Shammas, with whom she has been together since 2020, are constantly in discussion about how best to protect the privacy of their two-year-old son Luai.

Lohan is known from films such as The Parent Trap and Mean Girls. Her latest film Freakier Friday, a sequel to the popular film Freaky Friday (2003), will be released soon.
