PSV coach Bosz prefers Kovár above Olij in Johan Cruijff Scale, Pléa in the rush hour

Matej Kovár will be in goal for PSV on Sunday for the Johan Cruijff Shield match against Go Ahead Eagles. He is preferred over Nick Olij. Alassane Pléa is the striker for the Eindhoven team.

Neither Olij nor Kovár had a flawless preparation. The latter didn’t look good in the friendly match against Athletic Club on a goal against, while Olij blundered in the friendly match against FC Eindhoven.

It turns out that Kovár, who is on loan from Bayer Leverkusen, is at least initially preferred over Olij, who came over from Sparta this summer.

In attack, Bosz opts for Pléa, who came over from Borussia Mönchengladbach. The intended first striker Ricardo Pepi watches from the bench. Yarek Gasiorowski, taken over from Valencia, is in the heart of the defense together with Ryan Flamingo.

Ruben van Bommel dropped out last week against Athletic Club with a back injury and is not fit enough to start. Couhaib Driouech is in his place.

Go Ahead without playmaker

Go Ahead is missing playmaker Oliver Antman. The Finn is about to complete his top transfer to Rangers FC. Among others, cup hero Mats Deijl is in the starting lineup for the team from Deventer.

PSV has won the Johan Cruijff Shield fourteen times and is therefore the record holder. Number two Ajax is on nine supercups. Go Ahead has never won the prize.

The match between national champion PSV and cup winner Go Ahead Eagles starts on Sunday at 6:00 PM and will be played in the Phlips Stadion in Eindhoven. Joey Kooij is the referee.
