The thirteen pro-Palestinian demonstrators who were arrested on Saturday during a protest on the train tracks near The Hague Central Station were released the same day. They have received a fine, a police spokesperson told ANP.
The activists entered the track at approximately 2:20 PM, about 100 meters away from the platforms. Train traffic at the station was disrupted for some time as a result.
No trains ran between The Hague Central and The Hague HS until 4:00 PM, nor between The Hague Central and The Hague Mariahoeve. The driver of a train that passed the protesters opened his door to express his anger.
In a statement, the activists said they want to call on the cabinet to take measures against Israel. The protesters carried banners and Palestinian flags.
