Vauquelin breaks shortly after last Tour-stage fibula in the house in the house

Kévin Vauquelin broke his fibula shortly after the finish of the Tour de France. This did not happen at a party, the French rider of Arkéa-B&B Hotels emphasized on Tuesday.

“Vauquelin broke his fibula in an accident at home,” the team of the French Tour revelation writes in a statement. “How long he will be out of action remains to be seen.”

Vauquelin adds a few words himself to prevent rumors about drunkenness. “To be precise: it happened when I was walking on the stairs with my suitcase,” he writes on Instagram. With a wink: “Sorry for those who thought I was an alcoholic.”

The 24-year-old Vauquelin rode his last stage in the Tour de France on Sunday. He finished seventh in the general classification, making him the best Frenchman in the general classification. He finished in the top ten in seven stages.

Vauquelin may have also immediately ridden his last race for Arkéa-B&B Hotels. According to various media, he will be transferring to INEOS Grenadiers next winter.
