Ozzy Osbourne will be brought to his final resting place in his hometown of Birmingham on Wednesday. During the ceremony, the public will have the opportunity to say goodbye to the Black Sabbath frontman, who passed away last week. The funeral service will be private.
At 1:00 PM on Wednesday, the singer’s body will be driven from Broad Street through the center of the English city, reports BBC News. The hearse will pass the Black Sabbath Bridge, where fans have already gathered in recent days to leave flowers and drawings.
“We are going to pay our last respects to one of Birmingham’s greatest living legends,” says Birmingham Mayor Zafar Iqbal. Fans who are unable to attend can follow the event via livestream.
Osbourne’s family will gather after the ride for the private funeral service. The Black Sabbath frontman passed away last Tuesday at the age of 76. The singer had Parkinson’s disease and had been struggling with poor health for years. He gave his last performance with Black Sabbath in Birmingham earlier this month.
