Kelly Osbourne reacted on Friday for the first time to the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne. On Instagram, she quotes lines from the song Changes, which she recorded with him in 2003.
“I feel unhappy I am so sad. I lost the best friend I ever had,” she writes against a black background, followed by a broken heart.
Ozzy Osbourne passed away on Tuesday at the age of 76. The British singer, known as the frontman of Black Sabbath, had Parkinson’s disease and had been struggling with health problems for years. Earlier this month, he performed with the band during a farewell show in his birthplace of Birmingham. Many family members were also present, including his daughter Kelly. That evening, she got engaged backstage to Slipknot member Sid Wilson.
The show at Villa Park turned out to be Osbourne’s last performance. Several rock icons, including Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones and members of Metallica and Guns N’ Roses, performed that evening. Black Sabbath is considered one of the founders of the heavy metal genre.
