Sinner will work together again with fitness coach with whom he broke after doping store

Jannik Sinner will work together again with fitness coach Umberto Ferrara. The number one in the world had previously had no faith in a further collaboration after his controversial doping case, but came back to it.

Sinner was suspended for three months in February due to a positive test on the forbidden substance Clostebol. The Italian has always maintained that he was accidentally infected with that substance.

Clostebol is said to have been in a spray that physiotherapist Giacomo Naldi had applied to a cut in his hand after consultation with Ferrara. According to Sinner, the substance ended up in his blood in this way.

In August last year, Sinner said goodbye to both Ferrara and Naldi. “Because of these mistakes I no longer have faith to continue with them,” he said at the time. “I need a clean slate.”

Now Sinner opts for Ferrara again. “He has always played an important role in the team,” says the Italian tennis player’s management team now. “Jannik is going to prepare himself with him for the Cincinnati Open and the US Open.”

After his return, Sinner lost the final of Roland Garros in a thriller by Carlos Alcaraz. Earlier this month he took revenge at Wimbledon. There he defeated the Spaniard in a celebrationter.
