Jeangu Macrooy and his boyfriend Sebas have ended their relationship after eight years. According to the 31-year-old singer, the two are still friends.
“We are no longer together,” Macrooy confirms to De Telegraaf. “Sebas and I have parted ways in a good way, as far as that is possible, and fortunately we still have a good friendship.” The singer does not want to say anything further about the reason for the breakup.
Two years ago, Macrooy, who represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021 with Birth Of A New Age, announced that he had plans to marry. The marriage was to take place in the Netherlands or Suriname, Macrooy’s country of birth. But later Macrooy said that the couple no longer needed to get married.
Macrooy and Sebas met on a dating app in 2017.
