The struggling bus manufacturer Ebusco is postponing the publication of its results for the first half of 2025. The annual figures for 2024 have still not been audited by an accountant. Therefore, the Dutch company is not yet reporting later figures either.
According to the listed company from Deurne, steps have been taken to complete the audit of the 2024 financial year as quickly as possible, but that process is still ongoing.
The half-year figures were actually due to be released later this week. A new publication date is not yet available. According to the company, it will in any case happen no later than August 18.
Then an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on financing is on the agenda. This is important to safeguard the future of the company. However, Ebusco already warned that it needed extra money to survive.
The Brabant-based company struggled with delivery problems last year and ran into acute financial difficulties when carrier Qbuzz canceled an order for electric buses. The company then announced a reorganization, resulting in hundreds of job losses. In November, Ebusco raised 36 million euros with the issue of shares, which temporarily saved the company.
This year, Ebusco was almost bankrupt again after a supplier filed for the bus manufacturer’s bankruptcy due to unpaid bills. After millions of euros from a financier had been received, the bankruptcy petition was withdrawn.
Last month, CEO Christian Schreyer resigned from his position for health reasons with immediate effect. He had only been the boss at the company since September.
