PSV-Debutant Pléa scores a draw in practice match with Stuttgart at Doelpuntrijk

PSV played a 4-4 draw against VfB Stuttgart in a closed-door friendly in Ankum, Germany, on Saturday. New PSV striker Alassane Pléa made his unofficial debut and scored for the Eindhoven team.

Guus Til opened the scoring. Til scored from a pass by Ivan Perisic. Shortly before halftime, Stuttgart equalized with a header from Jeff Chabot.

After halftime, Pléa came onto the field. The brand-new striker replaced Pepi, who did not score. After a goal against Stuttgart, the French international leveled the score for PSV against the Bundesliga club: 2-2.

It didn’t stop there for Pléa, who was also involved in PSV’s 3-2 goal. The striker sent Mauro Júnior away, who put the Eindhoven team back in the lead.

In total, PSV played 105 minutes against Stuttgart. In the third half of the closed-door friendly, PSV seemed to pull off a victory after a goal by Tay Abed (4-2). Until it became exciting again due to an own goal by Joey Veerman. In the final phase, the Germans fought their way to a 4-4 draw.

In addition to Pléa, summer acquisitions Matej Kovar and Kiliann Sildillia also made their debuts. Goalkeeper Kovar came on after an hour for Nick Olij, who seems to have recovered from his injury. Sildillia replaced Serginio Dest.
