Miley Cyrus is not going on tour for the time being because she finds it difficult to stay sober and mentally healthy while traveling. “I don’t have the need right now either,” the American singer said on Tuesday on Good Morning America.
“I do have the physical ability and the opportunities to tour,” said Cyrus, 32. “And I wish I had the need, but I don’t.”
The singer feels that there is not enough support for artists while touring. She also said that she finds it “very difficult” to stay sober when she is on the road, which, according to her, is a “very important pillar of stability” in her life. Cyrus stopped using marijuana in 2017 and stopped drinking alcohol in 2020.
The last time Cyrus went on tour was ten years ago. The Flowers singer still performs; she appeared on stage last month during Beyoncé’s COWBOY CARTER show in Paris. Cyrus released her latest album Something Beautiful at the end of May.
