Diddy has enrolled in self-help programs in prison to address his drug use and violence against women. The musician is also currently undergoing therapy, TMZ reports, citing sources.
Diddy is reportedly participating in the STOP program, a government-offered course for prisoners aimed at preventing violence in relationships. TMZ writes that the musician is also currently undergoing therapy to overcome his drug use.
The initiative to seek help comes from Diddy himself. The record producer reportedly wants to show the judge that he is taking his rehabilitation seriously, ahead of his sentencing. Diddy is scheduled to be sentenced on October 3.
Earlier this month, a twelve-member jury found the musician guilty of transporting two people for the purpose of prostitution. This involves his ex-girlfriends Cassie Ventura and the woman who testified under the pseudonym Jane.
Diddy was not found guilty of human trafficking and extortion, but he still faces a prison sentence. The two counts on which Diddy was found guilty carry a maximum sentence of twenty years. However, it is likely that the sentence will be lower.
His lawyers asked the judge to release their client after the jury verdict, pending the verdict. Diddy has been in custody since his arrest in September. The judge ruled that he will remain in custody at least until the day of the verdict.
