The popular Apple TV+ series Severance is the biggest contender at this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards with 27 nominations. The Penguin (24 times), The Studio (23) and The White Lotus (23) are also frequently nominated.
The nominations for the important American TV awards were announced on Tuesday. Severance is nominated in the Outstanding Drama Series category, among others.
Adam Scott (pictured above this article) and Britt Lower are nominated for the awards for best leading actors in a drama series. Among others, Patricia Arquette and Zach Cherry are nominated for an award for their supporting roles in the series.
Harrison Ford is nominated for an Emmy for the first time in his career. The 83-year-old actor is nominated for the award for best supporting role in a comedy series, thanks to his role in the second season of the series Shrinking, also from Apple TV+.
Ford is not the only famous name to be nominated for an Emmy for the first time. This also applies to Kristen Bell, Colin Farrell, Jake Gyllenhaal and Anthony Mackie, among others.
The Emmy Awards will be presented for the 77th time on September 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
